How to use golf cart battery correctly?
Master the charging time. Generally, the battery is charged at night, and the average charging time is about 8 hours. If it is shallow discharge, the mileage after charging is very short. The golf cart battery will fill up soon. If you continue to charge, overcharge will occur. Eventually, the battery will lose water and heat, which will reduce the battery’s life.
Therefore, it is best to charge the battery once when the depth of discharge is 60%-70%. It can be converted into riding mileage in actual use. Carry out the necessary charging according to the actual situation to avoid harmful charging.
Prevent high temperature exposure, golf carts should not be exposed to sunlight. An over-temperature environment will increase the internal pressure of the battery, and the battery pressure limiting valve will be forced to open automatically. The direct consequence is to increase the battery’s water loss. The excessive loss of water in the golf cart battery will inevitably lead to a decrease in battery activity and accelerate the softening of the electrode plate. It will cause fatal damages such as heating of the shell, bulging and deformation of the shell during charging.
