The competition is held in August every year and is the last of the four major competitions.
Team event
The Ryder Cup golf tournament began in 1927. The Ryder Cup has 12 people from each side and is held every odd-numbered year, using match play. The competition is divided into 3 days, a total of 28 games. The first two days are the four-man and four-ball games, a total of 16 games. The last day was 12 singles. In a four-player game, two players from each side will take turns to hit the ball.
The World Cup of Golf is the highest level of golf in the world and is held every year. It is the only tournament in which players represent a country or region among the four major international golf events.
The Golf World Cup began in 1953, and its founder was Canadian businessman John Jay Hopkins.
